I have moved intrastate and interstate a number of times previously and to be honest my biggest stress point is removalists and I have had some woeful experiences.
After caravanning around Australia for 18 months we finally got back to our forever dream home that we purchased while on the road and had to organise to move our belongings from South East Melbourne to the Noosa Hinterland.
After doing some research, reading reviews and getting 3 quotes and speaking to 3 different removalists we settled on Noosa Van Lines who partner with Ron Wilson in Victoria who also have very good ratings.
The discussions I had with the staff at Noosa Van Lines were very friendly and professional, nothing was too much in answering any question, the information and communication from them prior to and during the move was fantastic, and the overall cost was very reasonable and great value for money.
On moving day in Melbourne, we had our belongings in 2 storage units and my mother’s garage, the 2 guys were fantastic, they were very careful with all our belongings, packed the 20’ container chock a block like Tetris so that nothing would move and had no issues with having to move and do some repacking of the container with our belongings being in 3 places.
On delivery to our house in the Noosa Hinterland the 3 guys from Noosa Van Lines were very friendly, professional and careful not only in unloading our belongings but also bringing them into our house. There was no issue as to ensuring all boxes, etc went into the respective rooms where we wanted them.
Overall, I can not recommend Noosa Van Lines highly enough, the way they operated and moved our belongings took all my stress away and I would not hesitate in contacting them straight away if we were to ever move again.

After 13 Moves these are the best Removalists we have had – You won’t regret engaging them if you decide to choose NVL! After a LOT of searching, reading reviews, and obtaining quotes we used Noosa Van Lines to move from Bowral NSW to near Nambour on the Sunshine Coast. We moved around 53 cubic mtrs (5 bedroom house and 2 car garage). They were not the cheapest but after 13 moves in our lives so far, they are certainly the best – and we decided that accepting a cheap competitor’s quote would be too risky. IS a slightly lower price really worth losing your belongings? We had an uplift on a Wednesday in the middle of July and as we were still settling the sale of our home down south we could not get to the new place until the following Monday. NVL (Mark) was very helpful in holding delivery until we drove up. We had two 20 foot shipping containers come down from Noosa, dropping a shipment at Mittagong, before arriving at our place mid-morning. There was the Qld driver (‘Chopper’) and two local sub-contractors, which the driver guided in the packing process. Very good uplift experience. Went smoothly and left us feeling very confident of a professional move. On arrival in Qld, they initially sent two guys in two tucks (one container each) arriving around 8.30 am; but with our steep drive they had to decant everything roadside and manhandle down. Two more people arrived mid-morning to help with the big load. NOTHING was too much trouble for these guys. No complaining at all, and much care taken in unpacking and placing the boxes and furniture where we wanted. The only thing we did not take up was their own freight insurance offer as that would have added significantly to the cost. We instead used www.hwainsurance.com.au/ Although a much better price, as we had no need to claim because of the excellent NVL process we can’t comment on the insurance issue. Summary: If you value your belongings and are moving interstate we don’t think you can go far wrong with NVL. HIGHLY Recommended.
