| Items Ineligible for Moving |
|
To avoid disappointment and any extra stress on your moving day, it is important to know what items can and cannot be moved by Noosa Van Lines. As a professional furniture removals company we are not licensed to carry dangerous goods; animals and in some cases plants or items used in plant cultivation. Lawnmowers and other gardening equipment should have the petrol drained from the tanks. If you are moving these items interstate or into store, they will also need to be cleaned.
We take a lot of pride in our fleet of removalist vehicles and have won awards in recognition of the standards maintained, so in accordance with those standards and to ensure other customers’ possessions are not soiled, Noosa Van Lines has a policy of not accepting items in unclean condition.
Prohibited Dangerous Goods
Some commodities cannot be accepted for transport by air, sea or road under general conditions. The following, in their classes, are a few examples.
NOTE: Gas cylinders can not be carried, empty or full
Animals and Plants
We do not transport animals such as pets, domestic fowls, or livestock, however, we can organise a fixed proposal on their transport for you with a reputable company specialising in the transport of all animals.
Moving plants in a furniture removals van is possible providing there are no state boundary restrictions and the plants or items of equipment used in plant cultivation are not being moved from a fire ants restriction area. Noosa Van Lines will not remove plants or farm equipment from a fire ants restricted area as determined by Queensland Department of Primary Industries . Currently this covers the area from Brisbane west past Ipswich and south to Logan. Similarly interstate and intrastate boundaries prohibit the transport of certain plants and in some cases, all plants.
Customers wanting to take pot plants should check regulations before booking the plants in for transport. You can access current information by using the search function on each of the following websites:
